Third Space Arts
Third Space Arts starts with a goal of supporting creators, creation, and community. Over the next year we will be creating on-site and mobile classes. Classes will feature a variety of mediums and will range from 1 on 1 lessons, to social meet-ups centered on art, to custom parties. We want to create a third space for art in your favorite places.
Coined by urban sociologist Ray Oldenburg, A 'Third Place' is a physical space separate from your 'First Place'- your home and your 'Second Place'- where you work. We believe in the power of the Third Place to build community, foster creativity, and enhance the lives of all who enter. For our founder Amanda, a Third Place was synonymous with the beloved downtown restaurant ThirdSpace (IYKYK.) While the small studio out of our house (for now), will not be serving food and beverages, the point of ThirdSpace was always so much more than that. It was a place to gather; To come as you are; Where artists and musicians always got paid for their work; Where ideas and community based events were conceived and thrived; A place where you wanted to be at the end of the day. So, when deciding on a name for this new venture, nothing else could quite capture all that we aim to offer. We are bringing the spirit of ThirdSpace back with local art based events, classes, and collaborations.

Formerly the Head Chef of ThirdSpace and currently an early childhood education professional, Amanda feels the need to make sure third spaces exist for Phoenicians. Third Space Arts is Amanda's way of finding community and connection and helping others do the same.
Steven Ross Dembrowsky
Founder
A Brooklyn, NY transplant to Phoenix, Steven has two decades working in various art field related positions. Steven Enjoys helping people find new ways to create and cultivate existing talent. Third Space Arts is Steven's return to practical arts education with anywhere from 1 on 1 classes, small classes in our home studio, to larger events in local establishments.
